Dear Class of 2020,
As you may know, our Governor's recent Stay-at-Home Order extends school closures to May 4th, 2020. With this guidance, we will need to postpone our May 2nd prom.
We are sorry to bring you this news at such a challenging time for us all, but know that we are doing all that we can to make up for the lost time of your senior year and to bring you the special events you have been looking forward to. Above all else, we are in this together as a class, staff, and administration and will be stronger for it.
We are working hard to reschedule our prom for a later date that will ensure the safety and health of all students and staff. Your well-being is our number one priority at this time.

Announcement from YEARBOOK! We are adjusting to new circumstances and dealing with some events/clubs that are not taking place. PLEASE participate in #CopingWithCovid! This is a historical event and the more fun we have with #CopingWithCovid the better it will make the yearbook and the memories we will have. The idea is to chronicle this historic event and to commemorate the event. Get pictures and spread the word. COVID-19 is a major disruption and these pics are meant to symbolize that disruption. Please be sure and follow social distancing guidelines and have some fun!
Registration for classes for 20-21! Extended due to date for registration for classes is now until Friday April 3rd.
Go into Powerschool to register! Need help? Contact your counselor for support on academic advising or how to register. If you do not register, counselors will need to register you for classes. We would prefer that you choose first! We are moving forward with planning and need your help!
End of 3rd Quarter Change of date!
We are changing the end of 3rd quarter from April 3rd to April 10th and report cards will be issued on April 16th.
We are sorry to announce that the Class of 2023 Krispy Kreme fundraiser is canceled. For all freshmen who have collected cash or checks, please return to the customer. We do plan to have this fundraiser in the '20 - '21 school year. Thank you all for your support.

HERMON AREA SCHOLARSHIP'S Deadline has been changed from March 19th to April 3rd. More info to come!
Please make note that unfortunately the Semi formal on March 28th is cancelled.
With heavy hearts, the Hermon Arts community will be postponing tonight's Showcase program indefinitely to aid our district's effort in curbing the spread of illness.
We are considering taking our lead from the Maine Music Educators Association and Penobscot Theatre Company and will evaluate whether or not to record our performances to share remotely with friends and family.
If it is possible to perform these selections for a live audience at a later date, we will do so. Thank you for your continuing support, and we wish you safety and health this spring.
The junior class has teamed up with Threads of Hope for a fundraiser. Threads of Hope buys handmade bracelets and other products created by at-risk Filipino families. Purchasing a bracelet helps provide sustainable work, education, and community support that helps families thrive, and also benefits your class of 2021. See Ms. Trenckmann to purchase bracelets anytime during the day!
The Simpson Memorial Library is looking for a couple of motivated volunteers who could help patrons
on their computers, iphones, or other devices. This would be for an hour (or 2) per week during library
hours. At your convenience. This would be an opportunity for an individual to make a difference in the
community and would be a tremendous help for people who have a difficult time accessing their
devices.
The Simpson Memorial Library is located at 8 Plymouth Rd. in Carmel. Their hours of operation are:
Tuesday 11:00am-7:00pm
Thursday 11:00am-7:00pm
Saturday 9:00-1:00pm

The Class of 2023 is selling boxes of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts! We are asking our freshman to sell these doughnuts to raise funds for senior year events such as caps & gowns, senior prom, senior banquet, etc. Each dozen costs $10, order forms and money are due on April 2nd to class advisors Mr. Garbe or Mr. Adams. Cash and checks written out to Hermon High School are accepted. Each freshman received an order form in homeroom today.
We have some generous parents who will be picking up the doughnuts from Auburn to deliver them to Hermon High School. The pickup date will either be 4/8 or 4/9 (TBA) in which students will receive their boxes at Hermon High School to deliver to t

Student Leaders will host an American Red Cross blood drive on March 10. HHS students are encouraged to donate blood, to save a life. Students who are 16 may donate with written parental permission. Students 17 or older may donate with no restrictions.
