April 17th, 2026

Hermon Middle School Community,

We made it! After a whirlwind week of 6th-grade adventures in Portland and the incredible creativity displayed during Spring into the Arts, it is finally time to shift gears.

As we look ahead, here is what you need to know:

🌴 Spring Break is Here

There will be no school next week, as our staff and students take a well-deserved spring break. We hope this time off allows everyone to recharge, disconnect from the screens, and spend quality time with family and friends.

📅 Important Reminders

  • School Offices: Main offices will be closed for the duration of the break. We will respond to all emails and voicemails when we return.

  • The Return: Classes will resume on April 27th. Make sure those backpacks are packed and ready to go!

A Note of Gratitude: A huge thank you to all the volunteers, teachers, and students who made our recent events so successful. The energy at HMS has been amazing, but we think everyone has earned a little peace and quiet.

Have a safe, relaxing, and wonderful vacation! We can’t wait to hear all about your week off when we see you again.

As a reminder, students should only be dismissed through the nurse. If a student reaches out to you as a parent, please encourage them to go see the nurse. The nurse will call home if they need to be sent home.
